About Minister Sahota
The Honourable Ruby Sahota represents the riding of Brampton North—Caledon and has served in Parliament since 2015. A lawyer by background, she brings extensive experience in commercial litigation and international trade law. Over her parliamentary career, she has held several senior leadership roles, including Chief Government Whip and Minister of Democratic Institutions. In May 2025, she was appointed Secretary of State for Combatting Crime.
